RULES FOR COLLABORATION BETWEEN PARLAMÓN
TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS, S.L. AND ITS FREELANCE TRANSLATORS AND
INTERPRETERS
PARLAMÓN TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS,
S.L. agrees to:
- 1. give
its collaborators help in the form of terminology, queries to the customer/experts,
provided it is impossible to resolve the translation problem with the
translator's own, usual tools. We are at your disposal to resolve any
doubt, as we understand every translation as the result of team collaboration.
- 2. agree
all important conditions (particularly the payment, the delivery deadline,
the approximate length of the text and/or duration of the service and
form of delivery) prior to the order and to comply strictly with what
was agreed. You can ask for the agreement in writing.
- 3. pay
the amount stipulated on the invoice within 60 real days counting from
the accounting day, which is the last day of each month the collaborator
issues an invoice. After 10 days following receipt of the invoice, we
will automatically accept it if we have not informed you to the contrary,
indicating the reasons and allowing the collaborator to correct the
invoice or justify the amount. Please contact us in the event of any
problem.
- 4. automatically
accept the work of the collaborator after 10 days if we have not given
any advice on any aspect.
- 5. we
likewise agree to treat collaborators with the respect due to a professional
and to defend their work before customers, that is, we will not apportion
any blame without demonstrating it and you will always have the chance
to defend your position or to make proposals for a solution before taking
decisions.
- 6. we
believe that only a translation professional or an expert philologist
is suitablefor evaluating a colleague's work, and so, in the event of
conflict, we agree to resort only to expert translation professionals
to evaluate the quality of the service
The collaborating translator and/or interpreter
agrees to:
- 1. maintain
the utmost confidentiality and absolute secrecy on any information concerning
the translation, the original text, its content, purpose, objective,
the customer or any information concerning them and/or PARLAMÓN
TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS, S.L.
- 2. do all
translations and/or interpreting with a good will and in good faith
with the criteria of a translation professional. This includes at least
two readings after the translation is complete and the use of the basic
translator's tools, which are suitable dictionaries, the grammar and
spelling checker, on line dictionaries, Internet search engines to resolve
anything they can with their own means.
- 3. have at
least one telephone number, Internet connection, fax machine, computer
and the usual text programs and basic dictionaries and to be registered
with the Social Security and have a licence to work.
- 4. be locatable
and available even after delivering the translation, so we can clear
up any problems that might appear when making our checks before delivering
to the customer. It is thus also possible to avoid errors or delays
due to emails that fail to arrive, files sent by mistake, etc. for which
the mobile phone is a useful invention.
- 5. hold a
degree or diploma in translation from an official entity or be able
to accredit their capacity as a translator with at least three years
experience or by belonging to one of the professional associations.
- 6. strictly
comply with the previously agreed delivery times and not to accept work
that can not be done in the agreed time. It is best to calculate a broader
time margin to have time in the event of any unexpected problem (illness,
fault on the telephone line problems with the server, an unexpected
meeting, hard disk breakage, etc).
- 7. assume
his/her part of the responsibility. PARLAMÓN TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS,
S.L. assumes no responsibility for damage caused due to professional
errors, negligence or any other infringement by the collaborator.
- 8. not contact
any former or present customer from the PARLAMÓN TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS,
S.L. portfolio, making them a commercial offer or committing
any other kind of disloyal competition. The collaborator agrees not
to accept commissions from customers of PARLAMÓN TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS,
S.L. unless it is through the express will of the customer
or with the express authorisation of PARLAMÓN TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS,
S.L.
PARLAMÓN TRADUCTORS-INTÈRPRETS,
S.L. is convinced that professional work and collaboration adapted
to usual commercial practice, together with goodwill are the best guarantee
for avoiding problems and maintaining high quality in the services given.
